This Ethiopian Madonna and Child are expressive of the art of that African nation who have roots in the Old Testament. The Queen of Sheba by tradition knew King Solomon. And in the New Testament Phillip explained how Jesus is the fulfilment of those Old Testament scriptures about the Messiah.
