Artist's Description

The Holy Family embrace, thoughtful as the Child Jesus lifts up a small cross. The Jewish prayer shawl surrounds them. The Holy Spirit Dove hovers over them, diffusing golden light. They are portrayed with brown skin as Jews of the first century. The wood is a slice of the trunk of the 60 year old Acaria tree that was in front of the Chapel of the Divine Child in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. Three other encaustic paintings that I did hang in that Chapel.
