Artist's Description
Though based on a photograph, this painting was inspired by the somewhat smaller waterfall that sings past the prayer chapel at the Vida Joven Farm/Camp north of Matagalpa, Nicaragua. The Birds of Paradise, Heliconias, and other tropical plants grace the flow of the sparkling waters in this quiet place of meditation. I wrote the following poem....................................INTO THE HOLY
Into the Holy,
secret hiding place,
into the eye of God:
Bourne on His breath,
Bathed in His Love,
Basked in His Wisdom,
Awed in His Presence,
Healed in His Gentleness,
Freed
from pain and fears,
from un-forgiveness and tears,
from stereotypes and prejudices,
from stubbornness and pride,
from ghosts and expectations,
from failures and successes,
in His Mercy,
by His Mercy,
for His Mercy and Grace -
