Description
Playing with Yupo paper, this painting is my impression of Monet's garden. It is a peaceful place, a path to quiet reflections. The bright colors do not shout, but speak of the light in God's creation. I wrote this poem........................................QUIET CIRCLE OF COLORS
Jesus is speaking to my heart:
Come into the quiet, the circle of light
where all colors blend into white
shining, spiraling, spilling into the depth
of your dark soul, so that no secret corner is bereft,
hidden from those sparkles and sprinkles of purest light.
Come into Green, Blue, Azure, Gold,
come into Lavender and Violet, shaped with stars-
silvery, beckoning to not give up, to take hold,
not give in to the rage, the desperate despair that claws
at your mind, trying to gain foothold.
Come into the Beauty that I make of all I touch.
Come into your own Beauty and begin to see
the Beauty within the beast of everyone, you and me.
Glow, in the night, glow.
Slow, go slow,
when all around are on the fast track
Spin and swirl as the joy rises, cold and black,
like water in a thirsty, desolate land,
till it gushes forth as a fountain - stand
raining down sparkling, spinning, shimmering down
to touch thirsty lips, parched, open and ready, round
to receive all you have to give.
All, all of you, not holding back what you fear to live,
there is always plenty
for another day, another need, another person. Gently,
daily each gift multiplied and renewed,
manna in the wilderness, fresh springs in the desert strewed,
the holy place at the end of your rope
where you found Me more than sufficient- bubbles up hope.
How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace Isaiah 52:7
